Cinemeccanica unveils digital 3D LUX cinema laser

Cinema projection company Cinemeccanica is to perform a digital 3D laser projection demo at the Euromax conference, being held between 7-9 June.

The company said the demo is designed to enable comparison of its new 6P laser light source LUX solution to other market leaders, such as the 15/70 IMAX projection system and Xenon digital projection.

The LUX cinema laser provides a 30 per cent increase in brightness, a lifetime of 30,000 hours, and a 50 per cent increase in energy efficiency, according to Cinemeccanica.

The annual Euromax event is held by the European Association for Giant Screen and Documentary Cinema, attracting projection and big screen professionals from around the world. It will be hosted at giant screen theatre La GĂ©ode in Paris.
